Wizkid announced the collaboration on Twitter today.

July 26, 2016

After his smash hit "Ojuelegba," and a few collaborations with Drake, Wizkid is now searching for the ever-elusive crossover single. The Nigerian artist could enlist few better role models for this task than Sean Paul, a man who, after 16 years in the game, has just appeared on yet another No. 1 song.

In response to a fan's hopeful tweet today, imagining what a Wizkid/Sean Paul track would sound like, Wizkid responded, "This just happened today!! Hahaha my guy u sure u no be FBI? Scary!!" It looks like one fan's wish has come true, and, hopefully, we won't have to wait much longer to hear the results.

Sean Paul discussed his love for afrobeats in a recent interview with The FADER, explaining that he was introduced to the contemporary Nigerian sound in Atlanta: "[Afrobeats] was news to me at the time: it reminded me of what Kevin Lyttle and Rupee were trying to do with soca but Afrocentric, a step further, and sounding even more modern than what we were doing."

Representatives for Wizkid and Sean Paul were not immediately available for comment.
