“A celebration of the incomparable mix of cultures that makes this country so incredible.”

20-year-old producer salute grew up in Austria, but has called the U.K.'s seaside town of Brighton home for the last couple years. It's where he was based when he made his sunny Gold Rush EP, featuring a guest spot from Abra, and his upcoming synth-blazing mini-album My Heart (from which you might have heard his D.R.A.M.-featuring, piano-led tune "One More Chance"). Also on the album is "Storm," a blitz of colorful melodies and pop vocals from newcomer Cleo Tighe. "'Storm' was a huge step up in my production and capacity to build a structured pop song," salute tells The FADER via email.

In the video premiering above, salute and director Raine Allen-Miller use the joyous pulse of the song to create a crystal clear message of post-Brexit unity in the U.K. “Britain is currently undergoing a time of national instability, a severance that is still very sore," Allen-Miller told The FADER in an email. "The media portrays an island of selfish hands grabbing at the last scraps of what they see as ‘their Britain.’ This video is a celebration of the incomparable mix of cultures and the unique blend of people that makes this country so incredible — what makes Great Britain so great.” In the infectious clip, a woman dressed from head to pedicure in Union Jack prints dances in a living room that's decorated as a nod to first-generation African-British families. Watch it above.
