Last week Drake teased a September 5 event titled "The Ballet" and the chance to "experience something that's here to stay." Monday night saw him reveal more information with a pop-up club night opening at the Toyota Centre in Houston after his Summer Sixteen tour stop. In an Instagram post shared in the early hours of the morning, Drake explained that a permanent club will open in Houston next year.
"Tonight is a different take on how it should be done in Houston," he wrote. "Treat yourself don't cheat yourself. Where the women are on a pedestal and the surroundings are unforgettable. The Ballet pop up tonight for HAW. Grand opening early 2017."
Drake fansite Word On Road also has footage of him discussing "The Ballet" from his pop-up event last night. Addressing the audience gathered in front of him, Drake says: "There's a culture out there of dancing and it's not about no strip club shit. It's about these amazing women that we've got in one spot, the music that we've got, and the Houston culture that we got. I just wanna let you know that I'm going to bring it to you in the most honest and genuine way possible."
