Amoeba Records in Hollywood will be closing up shop in the next few years to make way for a luxury skyscraper. According to a Time Out Los Angeles report the building that houses the iconic Hollywood record shop has indeed been sold. The piece also claims that Amoeba voluntarily made the choice to sell. They will however continue with business as usual for the rest of their lease, which still has a few years on it.
