
The nominees for the 2016 MOBO Awards have been revealed with Kano and Laura Mvula leading the list of artists in with a chance of winning at this year's ceremony. Both artists are nominated in four categories each, with Kano battling Skepta, Stormzy, Craig David, and Tinie Tempah in the Best Male category.
Mvula, meanwhile, is nominated for Best Female and Best Album as well as Best R&B/Soul Act and Best Video. The Best Female category will be between Mvula, Little Simz, NAO, Katy B, and Lady Leshurr. Mercury prize winner Skepta scores three nominations: Best Male and Best Album, plus Best Grime Act alongside AJ Tracey, Chip, Stormzy, and Kano.
There's a packed longlist for the Best International Act category with Anderson .Paak, Beyoncé, Bryson Tiller, Chance The Rapper, DJ Khaled, Drake, Frank Ocean, Justin Bieber, Kanye West, Kaytranada, Major Lazer, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Rihanna, Tory Lanez, and Travis Scott all in the running. This category will be narrowed down to just five frontrunners on the night of the awards.
