Check Out Gallant’s “Skipping Stones” Video With Jhené Aiko

Gallant has released the video for his Jhené Aiko-featuing "Skipping Stones" from his debut album Ology.The American Millennial-directed video gets its True Detective season one on with a one-shot for the visual, as Gallant is bound in a car trunk. We see Aiko as the pilot of this vehicle with less than happy plans for Gallant. A Zippo is involved. In a press release Gallant said that the video's one shot approach was very special to him.
“I’m really into the whole one shot thing. Even just the way that I write, I really like living into a moment. Digging into all the subtext that that moment kind of carries. I thought that this particular scene would just very naturally, in a very subtly complex way, kind of just illustrate exactly all of the fiery emotions that are coming through lyrically in the song from both perspectives.”
