When he's not drumming with Reggie Watts in The Late Late Show With James Corden's house band, Guillermo E. Brown makes experimental R&B as Pegasus Warning. On "Building A Bridge," whose video is premiering today on The FADER, he taps classic Maxwell vibes for a smooth, sturdy, and uplifting joint. In the clip, he pairs the track with a black-and-white trek around L.A., and even makes a friend on his journey.
To explain the song's meaning, Pegasus Warning shared the following poem with The FADER.
"Life can be rough when you're distracted by love woe tings
Learning how to be with
Walking Talking Eating Working Sleeping
Harsher critiques of self crystalize
Chest constricts
But when we build those hovercrafts back home, back to the places where the heart feels free
Then and only then can we architect those magnificent floating structures to each other"
