Hailing from East Oakland, Philthy Rich has branded himself with consistency, dropping over 40 solo and collaborative projects over the past year with no signs of slowing down. After releasing a collaborative album this past July with Las Vegas native and MMG signee Yowda, Philthy Rich is back it again with the forthcoming mixtape Hood Rich 4. Reflecting upon his recent successes, Philthy Rich rallied Detroit rapper Kash Doll for the raw single "Fuck I Look Like," which is all about status and recognizing your worth. Today, we're premiering the video for the track on The FADER.
Philthy Rich wrote in an email, "When you elevate yourself to a certain level, your companion has to be on the same level or higher. I tapped Kash Doll for this song because she possesses that raw combo of raunchiness and sexiness, and she’s appealing to a man’s eye.”
In the video the pair stunt over a polished Lamborghini Aventador and plenty of bankrolls. Musically, they take us to Detroit and Oakland with demanding lyrics and offhand flows, and some help from Atlanta producer Shawty Fresh. It's a track you'd hear blasting from car speakers on highways in the south — "Fuck I Look Like" is an anthem for looking down as you elevate to the top. We'll always be products of our environments; Philthy Rich just urges us to keep it high quality.
