Per usual, Red Bull Music Academy has been putting together some incredible musical experiences for their RBMA Montreal event series. Among others, the series has included events with Kaytranada, Sampha, Jacques Greene, and maybe most prominently, Björk, who debuted her VR film Family along with a livestreamed, exclusive DJ set.
The event also brought out everybody's favorite bass god, Thundercat, albeit in a much more low key setting. The clip above features the Brainfeeder virtuoso jamming out with a member of Japanese synth outfit Crystal, who hops on synths and vocoder for a sprawling 11-minute session. If you've seen Thundercat live, it should be pretty obvious that the dude shines when he's improvising, and apparently the same is true for both parties involved. Watch above.
