What we see on our social media feeds is never really what it appears to be. That's one of the important messages that Christian rapper Bizzle shares in "Money Get Low," a song that also tries to give some perspective on the financial ups and downs of daily life.
No matter what life throws at him, as Bizzle raps, it's God over money. As Bizzle quipped in an email to The FADER: "It's Truth Music."
He said "Money Get Low" was written after he had a falling out with some members of his family after he couldn't support them financially.
"They may have seen me help someone else when I was up," he said. "But now they are coming to me when I'm down and can't help. As much as I love to, I have a family and bills of my own; but sometimes that's hard to understand when you see me on Instagram travelling and doing shows. It gets hard to navigate sometimes, and as usual my life tends to pour into my music."
