Biggest Kendrick Lamar fan at @SInow Sportsman of the Year event in Brooklyn? Definitely, without a doubt, Mr. LeBron James. pic.twitter.com/5hK9LNFSsX— Ben Reiter (@BenReiter) December 13, 2016
On Monday night, LeBron James was honored with Sports Illustrated’s Sportsperson of the Year Award. Jay Z presented James with the award, praising the NBA star for his integrity on and off the court. Kendrick Lamar was also in the building for the ceremony and took the stage at one point to perform his untitled unmastered. cut "Levitate."
In a video captured bySI's Ben Reiter, James is as hyped up by the performance as someone can be when they're sitting down, as he sings along and hits a few well-timed upper body moves. In February, James wrote to Top Dawg Entertainment's Anthony Tiffith on Twitter, suggesting that Lamar and Tiffith should "release those untitled tracks asap." Upon the surprise release of untitled unmastered. in March, Tiffith wrote on Instagram, "Thank @kingjames for this."
