Drake and Future have broken a new record, as their Summer Sixteen tour is now the highest grossing hip-hop tour of all time. According to Pollstarpro's ranking of the top tours from 2016, the Summer Sixteen tour grossed $84.3 million over the course of 56 dates. The duo has now dethroned the previous hip-hop record holders, Jay Z and Kanye West, for their 2012 Watch The Throne tour, which grossed $75.6 million over the course of 63 dates.

Drizzy took to Instagram to celebrate the announcement, shouting out OVO and FBG. He also teased that he'll be announcing a Europe tour next with some special guests sometime in the near future.

The Pollstarpro report reveals that although Summer Sixteen is the highest grossing hip-hop tour, it only came in 11th in the ranking for the top tours of 2016. The highest spots were taken by Bruce Springsteen, Beyoncé, and Coldplay in that order, whose tours all grossed in the 200 millions.
