To celebrate the launch of the 2017 Makers conference, Hillary Clinton delivered a recorded video statement to attendees. In her first public statement since the inauguration, Clinton declared, "the future is female," echoing a tenet from the 2014 Future Feminism exhibition by ANOHNI, Johanna Constantine, and other women artists.
"Despite all the challenges we face, I remain convinced that yes, the future is female," Clinton said, before referencing the Women's March on Washington. "Just look at the amazing energy we saw last month as women organized a march that galvanized millions of people all over our country and across the world."
The Makers conference takes place February 6 through February 8. Watch Hillary Clinton's introduction video above.
