Chicago Artist dinnerwithjohn Has Passed Away

The rapper and singer, formerly known as John Walt, was a founding member of PIVOT Gang along with Saba, Joseph Chilliams, and Mfn Melo.

Chicago artist, and founding member of PIVOT Gang, dinnerwithjohn passed away on Thursday, Fake Shore Drive reports. He was 24 years old. According to the Chicago Sun-Times, dinnerwithjohn, real name Walter Long Jr., was fatally stabbed during an altercation.

Long, along with Saba, Joseph Chilliams, and Mfn Melo, was a founding member of the PIVOT Gang musical collective. He previously recorded as John Walt and his most recent mixtape, 2013's Get Happy 2.0 spawned the incredibly catchy "Kemo Walk." According to FSD, Long was working on a new mixtape entitled Dinner With John.
