On Saturday, protests and rallies took place at Planned Parenthood locations nationwide. Many of the rallies were composed of anti-abortion protesters and Planned Parenthood counter-protesters clashing at Planned Parenthood locations.
According to Vox, earlier this week anti-abortion protesters scheduled pickets for over 200 Planned Parenthood locations nationwide in hopes of getting Congress to defund the women's health provider. In turn, counter-protests were then organized by Planned Parenthood supporters at over 150 locations including New York, Detroit, Denver, and other major cities.
Huge crowds showed up at multiple locations, with local news outlets reporting over 6,000 supporters taking part in the march in St. Paul, Minnesota. In New York, counter-protesters made sure to keep the clinic door unimpeded as Planned Parenthood states on their website that some counter-protests can be disruptive to patients in the clinic.
