Rodes Rollins sweeps in on a wave of smoky air on "Young & Thriving," the opening track of the singer's stunning debut EP, Young Adult, premiering in full today on The FADER. Rollins's debut is a stirring coming-of-age tale that sits on a crossroad of country-rock and somber pop. It's catchy, brimming with melancholy and romance, and, by the end, bursts with soul — on Young Adult's concluding song, "Feedback," she proclaims, "Now I'm a woman / Let me read your fortune."

"Young Adult is a collection of songs about some of the most formative experiences from my youth, all told from a nostalgic point of view," Rollins told The FADER over email. "Someone recently referred to my music as 'cowgirl poetry,' and I like that description. When I envision performing these songs, I'm at a campfire in the desert."
