Blanka’s “Fall In Love” Video Is A Gorgeous Nightmare Rave

The Montreal duo approach club music with an unrelenting intensity.

Visually, Blanka's music video for "Fall In Love," premiering today on The FADER, could be shot from the POV of a cyborg with heat vision goggles who probably shouldn't have taken that second pill. Footage of raves is colorized and data-moshed into oblivion, reflecting the apparent dehumanization in the stark post-industrial propulsion of the Montreal duo's song.

"'Fall In Love,' lyrically, is somewhat of a meditation on the ceremony of love, while the production is an exercise on the drums," Blanka explained to The FADER over email. "Before going on tour to Europe last year, I was starting to get extremely anxious about our first EP Yasuda pigeonholing us into the post-punk genre. So this track was built with an underlying notion of wanting to protest against our former songs and move in a new direction."

Blanka just wrapped mixing a new album, and will head on a tour of Europe soon. Check out dates below.
