The debut video from Zimbabwe-born, London-based artist KWAYE is totally transfixing. 22-year-old KWAYE, styled in sharp lines and brash colors throughout, glides through London's tower blocks like a warm breeze to the tune of his funk-tinged single "Cool Kids." While the tableaux he creates are stunning, the real hook that will keep you hitting replay is the summery, 1980s flavor of his catchy synth-pop.

"'Cool Kids' is a journey of discovery, culminating in an assertion of self," KWAYE explained to The FADER in an email. "It marks the turning of a new chapter, where experiences of the past help to shape a present where diversity can be celebrated, and we can sit comfortably in our own skin."
