Just as the sun starts to shine a little brighter and flowers begin to bloom, Jesse Jenkins from the great, sadly inactive Texas band Pure X is releasing "Hard Sky" — though he's just going by "Jesse" now. It's our first taste of an upcoming LP to be released by a new label called Uniform Group. "Hard Sky" features the signature vocals heard on some of Pure X's hypnotic rock songs, particularly from their last couple records, and some enchanting guitar sounds. It's an expressive track, one that will leave you feeling pensive, romantic, and just a little bit emotional.

"For awhile I was working on this album just for me, but this is the song that tied the record together and made me realize that it didn't belong to me anymore," Jesse wrote to The FADER. "I'm very happy to finally put it back into the world where it came from. Thank you for listening." No, Jesse — thank you. Give "Hard Sky" a listen below.
