Annabelle Lee, Alana DeVito, Jimmy Tony, Alejandro Cairncross, and Tim Kuras make up Peeling, a group from Toronto. They pair ripping guitars with Annabelle's raspy, hypnotic vocals. The result is some cryptic, taunting rock compositions, like the ones on their forthcoming new record, 7 Years of Blood.

"Away From You," one of the record's sweeter tracks, is premiering below. It's a reverb-heavy earworm about reconciling your own needs when a romance meets its inevitable end. Guitars swell and bass drums tremble as Annabelle arrives at the hook: "I can't stay with you/ not this time," she sings.

"It’s essentially about moving on from a relationship where you still love your partner but need to forge your own path," Annabelle said of the track in an email to The FADER. "I wrote it after a romance in my life ended and I felt a bittersweet acceptance rather than devastation and animosity. Making the choice to go my own way was uncomfortable and daunting, but it was the right thing to do."
