The launch of Supreme and Louis Vuitton's buzzed about collaboration has hit a major roadblock. After a meeting on May 18, Manhattan's Community Board No. 2 voted unanimously to reject the proposal for Supreme and Louis Vuitton's pop-up shop at 25 Bond Street, Fashionista reports.

The decision, which was voted upon by all 32 members of the community board came after a public hearing on May 8, where Bond Street residents expressed concern over the proposed event. According to Fashionista, the board said that Supreme failed to present a management plan for the 1,000 expected customers at the event.

While the pop-up event was scheduled to take place over the course of two days, the proposal called for sidewalk closures on Bond Street for four days. Supreme planned to hire between 20 and 25 security guards and set up barriers for the event, but the community board said that other businesses on Bond Street had not been notified of the street closure and long customer lines.

Representatives for Supreme and Louis Vuitton were not immediately available for comment.
