"First Day Out" is a celebratory anthem filled with Kodak boasting about how he "Gave my momma 100 racks" after returning to society. The video also features a scene in which Kodak literally frees doves into the sky from a convertible car.

The rapper was released on June 5 after serving nearly a month of his 364 day sentence for a parole violation off a 2016 conviction. He is still facing felony charges in South Carolina for an alleged sexual assault. In December 2016, he was released on bail from a South Carolina jail.
