Mahershala Ali Might Star In The Third Season Of True Detective

Moonlight star Mahershala Ali is in talks to star in a third season of HBO's True Detective, Deadline reports. The third season of the crime drama has not yet received an official green light, but Deadline writes that casting Ali "would make that a lock."

Ali won the Oscar for his role as Juan in Barry Jenkins's Moonlight, and recently starred in a series of trailers for JAY-Z's new album 4:44.
