John Tomlin, 24, turned himself in to London police in relation to acid attacks that severely injured Manchester Metropolitan University student Resham Khan, 21, and her cousin Jameel Muhktar, 37, according to a report by the BBC News.

Khan and Muhktar were reportedly out celebrating Khan's 21st birthday on June 21 in East London when someone threw acid on them through the windows of their car. Tomlin was the main suspect in the attack, and photos of him had previously been shared by law enforcement. He remains in police custody.
