Kendrick Lamar gifted a a quadriplegic fan a van modified to aid with her disability. Jennifer Phillips is a TDE super fan and met with Lamar backstage on his DAMN. Tour in Dallas. She injured her spinal chord in a car accident 10 years ago and launched a GoFundMe campaign in April of this year in an effort to raise a new van. Her wish was granted courtesy of Lamar on July 15.
Phillips shared pictures and video of her time backstage in Dallas. In addition to the modified van she was also given an autographed jacket that reads: “Thank you for always supporting me. Your a inspiration for me. You are strong and positive. Your kind and beautiful. For all the years of inspiring me, the least I can do is make sure your comfortable driving the city. A gift from me to you. Your always appreciated! — K. Lamar.”
