MTV has announced the first round of performers for the 2017 VMAs, including The Weeknd, Kendrick Lamar, Lorde, and Miley Cyrus. The event will also feature performances from Fifth Harmony, Ed Sheeran, Shawn Mendes, and Thirty Seconds to Mars, with more performers to be announced in the coming weeks.
The 2017 VMAs will take place on Sunday, August 27, and Katy Perry will serve as host. Kendrick Lamar is the most-nominated artist this year with eight nods, while Katy Perry and The Weeknd are each nominated for five awards.
