Beyoncé has written the foreword for Prince: A Private View, an upcoming photography book featuring Afshin Shahidi’s images of the late pioneer. “Truth be told, the word ‘icon’ only scratches the surface of what Prince was and what he remains to me,” Beyoncé writes for the book's introduction, as Entertainment Weekly reports.
Prince: A Private View collects Shahidi's work from his 20 years as Prince's friend and 10 years as his photographer. The book will feature images, man of which have never before been released, and captions that explore the photographer's relationship with Prince.
