Take a break from the timeline.

Autumn Casey and KC Toimil are Snakehole. They're from Miami and Philadelphia respectively, they make really fucking cool sludgy punk jams, and their stated influences are "w33d & $A+aN." Same.

In March, the duo released their first full-length, Interludes of Insanity, on Wharf Cat Records (home of like-minded bands Palberta and Urochromes). One of the hardest tracks off the LP is "Good Conversation," which Snakehole is sharing a gritty video for today. They overlaid footage of them pummeling their guitars with creepy, gross, and banal images sourced from social media. With all that yelling, the video becomes a comment on how we let our timelines control us.

"The video is based around live footage taken shot by Nic de Santis at a show in Richmond, VA," the band wrote in a note to The FADER. "Nic is a well-known artist in the Richmond punk/DIY scene, he brings his own lights, and goes for crazy angles and just really gets up close and personal while you perform. I was inspired by the chaos and colors of Nic’s live footage, and aimed to make an abstract compliment to the live footage. I wanted it to look oversaturated and chaotic to make a statement about our current obsession with a constant stream of 'information,' especially as it relates to being constantly connected to social media."
