The surprise release comes just over two weeks after Dolph was shot multiple times in Hollywood following an altercation with three men outside of a hotel. It was the second shooting the Memphis rapper survived in 2017: he was uninjured after his $300,000 bulletproof SUV was fired upon at least 100 times in February in Charlottesville, N.C. He released the album Bulletproof on April 1.
