The nominations for the 2018 Grammy Awards were announced on Tuesday morning. Overall they are quite male-heavy, with no women up for Song Of The Year or Record Of The Year. In fact, only Lorde's Melodrama stops the prestigious Album Of The Year being an all-man affair.

Praise be, then, for SZA who leads the charge for women artists with five nominations. That's the most of any woman at the ceremony, which takes place at New York's Madison Square Garden on January 28, 2018.

She's up for Best New Artist alongside Alessia Cara, Khalid, Lil Uzi Vert, and Julia Michaels. Last year the prize went to Chance The Rapper.

SZA is also nominated for Best Rap/Sung Performance for Travis Scott collaboration "Love Galore," where she'll compete against 6lack's "PRBLMS," GoldLink f. Brent Faiyaz and Shy Glizzy's "Crew," JAY-Z f. Beyoncé "Family Feud," and Kendrick Lamar f. Rihanna, "LOYALTY."

Her remaining three nominations come for Best R&B song ("Supermodel"), Best Urban Contemporary Album (Ctrl), and Best R&B Performance ("The Weekend").
