23 years after its release, Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas is You" has finally reached a top 10 spot in Billboard's Hot 100. The holiday classic is now at number nine.

Billboard has broken down the song's journey to number nine for anyone seeking justice for the hit, which wasn't a "commercially available single" when it was first released in 1994, and thus ineligible to chart.

The song also inspired an animated movie released by Carey last month, which "tells the story of young Mariah, who wants nothing more for Christmas than a puppy." Watch the trailer for that movie, available to stream now, below.
