At the 2018 Golden Globes, multiple actresses showed up to the red carpet with activists as their dates. Among them is civil rights activist Tarana Burke, who attended the red carpet with Michelle Williams. Burke created the #MeToo movement a decade ago to aid survivors of sexual assault in marginalized communities.
As New York Times writer Amanda Hess pointed out on Twitter, E! immediately panned away from Burke as soon as she started answering an interviewers question, instead showing other arrivals on the red carpet. Watch the moment above.
