Last year, Queen Latifah told Andy Cohen that she was working on a revival of the beloved sitcom centered around single young people living in Brooklyn. She also addressed similarities between her show and Friends, which came out a year after the premiere of Living Single.
“We knew we had already been doing that,” she said on Watch What Happens Live. “It was one of those things where there was a guy called Warren Littlefield, who used to run NBC, and they asked him, ‘When all the new shows came out, if there was any show you could have, which one would it be?’ And he said Living Single … And then he created Friends.”
While the reboot hasn't taken hold yet, streaming to prepare just in case isn't the worst idea. Make your way through all five seasons starting Thursday.
