Richard Russell, the head of XL Recordings, has released his new collaborative project featuring a rolling list of guest vocalists and musicians. Operating under the name of Everything Is Recorded, the album includes appearances from Ibeyi, Sampha, Giggs, Wiki, Syd, and Kamasi Washington among others.
The album was recorded at Russell’s west London studio, The Copper House. Over the course of two years Russell has invited a series of friends and artists into the studio for a mixture of recording sessions and live jams. Other guests who contributed either vocals or instrumental work include Damon Albarn, Peter Gabriel, and Owen Pallett.
