Leon Bridges shared two new songs on Zane Lowe's Beats 1 show today. "Bet Ain't Worth the Hand" and "Bad Bad News," produced and co-written by Ricky Reed, are the first singles off his just-announced upcoming album, Good Thing, which will be out on May 4. The album follows 2015's Coming Home, his debut studio album. Bridges told Lowe that "Bad Bad News," which seems to give the album its title, was written with a particular intent.

“I wanted to put that kind of message through songs like 'Bad Bad News' and for me, I grew up with certain people telling me that I couldn’t be great," he said on the show. "And that’s the whole message of that song is just making something out of nothing."
