FILA Korea is continuing its ongoing collaboration with Pokémon with a fresh batch of leather kicks. For representing colorful and painfully cute pocket monsters, the shoes are fairly clean in design and not obnoxious. The crisp, white leather canvas leaves the attention on the heels and tongue where the Pokémon imagery sits on full display while the adjustable, velcro straps add to the sneaker's seamless look.
Each shoe features a pokéball on the tongue and the various colors — soft pastels, in stark contrast to the season's obsession with blinding neons — correspond to a either Pikachu, Jigglypuff, Charmander, Squirtle, or Bulbasaur. There’s a “gotta catch ’em all” joke here somewhere. At the moment, the collection is only available in Korea with no hint at a worldwide release.
