Jackson Penn’s “Streetlights on Mars ” is an addictive pop song.

L.A.'s Jackson Penn, aka successful songwriter/producer Freddy Wexler, manages to capture a pretty magical love story in the video for his song "Streetlights on Mars." It features the singer and his real life wife Olivia on a cozy L.A. date featuring some weed, burgers, and — plot twist — a stolen car. The video, which is a trailer for his upcoming project The Autobiography of Jackson Penn, was shot by Andrzej Sekula and creative directed by Francesco Corrazzini.

In an email to The FADER, Penn summarized the video: "The disorientation of falling in love in a city like Los Angeles is a lot like finding yourself dazed, in someone else's car, in a Wienerschnitzel drive-thru wearing Gucci you didn't buy...for the night. In those moments, it's easy to forget where we came from, or where we're going."
