Promoters Goldenvoice has confirmed that FYF Fest 2018 has been canceled. An official reason for the move remains unknown though Billboard reports that low ticket sales are to blame.

An official statement claims that the team “felt unable to present an experience on par with [fan] expectations.” The festival was due to be headlined by Janet Jackson and Florence + The Machine with The xx, Future, and St. Vincent also on the bill.

Ticket holders will receive full refunds while local shows from some acts on the line-up are to be announced shortly. FYF Fest began in 2004 and was scheduled to take place July 21-22 in Los Angeles’ Exposition Park.

In November 2017 FYF Fest founder Sean Carlson was accused of sexual assault. He stepped down from his position soon after.

The FADER has reached out to FYF and Goldenvoice representatives for more information.
