Starboy Willz is an artist from South London making the kind of afroswing I find irresistible: bright synths, simply arranged keys, and multiple catchy melodies. His latest song "All On Me," premiering today on The FADER, sounds like what you'd get if you bottled up sunshine and added a sparse drum track. The song was produced by Delirious, a producer who's worked with Tinie Tempah, Lady Leshurr, and Moelogo.
“I’ve been making music for a while now, and I’ve worked with many different producers, but working with Delirious has to be one of my all-time favorite recording experiences," he says. "The record is about me trying to win the affections of my leading lady, but she seemingly only wants me for the money, and the fame, and the cars.”
Listen and watch above, and look out for Starboy Willz's forthcoming debut solo EP.
