A Michael Jackson musical is coming to Broadway
His estate have approved a new production, scheduled to debut in 2020.

Michael Jackson's estate and Columbia Live Stage have announced the development of a new musical based on the pop star's life and work, Stereogum reports. Two-time Pulitzer Prize winner Lynn Nottage will write the musical using songs from Jackson's catalogue, and Tony Award winner Christopher Wheeldon will direct. The untitled production is scheduled to premiere in 2020.

A "biopic" based on Bubbles, Michael Jackson's famous chimp, is currently in production from Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi.
