Mary J. Blige is back with the first track from what appears to be a new batch of music. "I've been in the studio working on new music and was excited to share a little bit with you all," she wrote on Instagram. "I had a year of so many ups and downs and have come out the other side with a renewed spirit and a fresh perspective. I'm entering my next chapter with an open mind and heart. ONLY LOVE is where I am right now and I couldn't keep it to myself any longer!!!"
The song, "Only Love," is a vibrantly disco-tinged number that fits naturally alongside the Kaytranada collaboration from her last album, 2017's Strength Of A Woman. Stream it below. Aside from the new music she's been working on, Blige has also recently been tapped to star in a new horror film Body Cam, which focuses on a troupe of LAPD officers haunted by a “malevolent spirit that is tied to the murder of a black youth.”
