“Rave in the Grave” is the most twisted Song of the Summer ever

“Death is pretty damn nice / we don’t wanna be alive.”

Here at the FADER, we're pretty preoccupied with the question of what's going to be the Song of the Summer. In fact, we have a whole podcast about it that you can subscribe and listen to. That's why I was so delighted to see journalist Adrian Chen asking his followers on Tuesday to send him the songs in their countries that are blowing up right now. A follower who was in Poland recently shared "Rave in the Grave," a pretty messed up pop song that he says was in constant radio rotation.

It's a song about a dead grandma partying in the afterlife and how bad everyone wants to join her in an eternal club scenario. It's unfortunately a banger.

The song was made by AronChupa and Little Sis Nora, a duo who achieved a staggering amount of success in Europe with their 2014 hit "I'm an Albatroz." The video for that song has over a billion views. "Rave in the Grave" isn't quite as successful yet — it appears to have peaked at #21 on the Polish charts — but with any luck is on its way there. Please enjoy the video above.
