The decision to remove the content was confirmed by Apple who issed a statement saying the removal was part of its crackdown on the use of hate speech, which violates its content guidelines.

"Apple does not tolerate hate speech, and we have clear guidelines that creators and developers must follow to ensure we provide a safe environment for all of our users," a spokesperson said.

In addition to Apple's actions, Spotify has also removed "The Alex Jones Show" from its platform entirely. Last week Spotify removed select episodes of the conspiracy theorist's show, citing its "hateful content" guidelines.

As Spotify spokeserson told The FADER: “We take reports of hate content seriously and review any podcast episode or song that is flagged by our community. Due to repeated violations of Spotify’s prohibited content policies, "The Alex Jones Show" has lost access to the Spotify platform.”

In July both YouTube and Facebook removed videos from Infowars for violating their community-standards guidelines.
