Grim Dave — formerly known as DP — has been relatively quiet after dropping the blaring, trunk-rattling "Grim" under his sinister-sounding new moniker at the top of the year. Today, the Virginia native is back, premiering his latest song "Gosha" via The FADER.
The track's haunting bell melody carries on throughout the 2-minute rap, as Dave delivers slick machine gun raps without dropping a hook — or pausing to catch a breath.
“I’ve been quiet for a while now, even though I love a lot of what’s going on in music right currently I think there’s still much substance and depth missing," Grim Dave says to FADER via email. "I don’t wanna be that guy to preach what needs to be here and want doesn’t, but I don’t think there’s anything quite like what I'm doing musically right now. Stay tuned.”
"Gosha" comes off Dave's upcoming project Badder Days ; listen below.
