Toronto-based artist Desiire has been toying with a handful of different sounds for a while now, but his latest single marries pulsing basslines with funky synths, topped off with his honeyed vocals for the perfect retro electro bop, "Paradise".
“I’ve always been a huge fan of early 90’s dance & 80’s African disco. The producer of the song SPRILL had been working on a remix of one of my previous singles and ended up forwarding the beat over and I instantly fell in love with the vibe,” he told The FADER over email. "It reminded of the old house classics but with contemporary production style. Everything from the cadence to the bounce took me right back to that era."
