Perhaps former First Lady Michelle Obama is aware of the City Girls' breakout album "PERIOD" or maybe she was just echoing an audience member in the crowd, unaware of the word's current popularity and where it stems from, when she uttered the word at a "When We All Vote" event ahead of upcoming elections.

"Voting is the only way to ensure that your concerns matter," Obama said during the event.

Her statement was directly followed by a member of the crowd yelling "PERIOD!" Acknowledging the remark, Obama echoed the word, eliciting cheers from the crowd.
