The Black-ish actress, who is hosting the event this evening, opened the show with a choreographed dance routine. Some dancing to "Bodak Yellow," "This is America," "APESHIT," "Level Up," and "Run The World (Girls)." The end of her performance featured a mash-up of Aretha Franklin's "Respect" and Bruno Mars's "Uptown Funk."
After the opening number, which was choreographed and creative directed by Fonzworth Bentley, Ross announced that she would be wearing designs by all black designers throughout the evening. On Twitter, she told fans to stay tuned for the details.
