Beyonce and Jay-Z reportedly helped raise more than $6 million for City of Hope

Earlier this week Beyonce and Jay-Z attended the City of Hope Spirit of Life Gala 2018 in Santa Monica, California. According to Forbes, the couple helped raise more than $6 million for City of Hope, a nonprofit cancer treatment and research center in Southern California. During the gala, Beyonce performed songs including "Ava Maria" and "Halo," and helped pay homage to Warner/Chappell Music Publishing CEO Jon Platt. Jay-Z referred to Platt as the "Obama of the music industry."

Beyonce recently posted photos from the event on her Instagram account. Forbes reports Dr. Dre, Tiffany Haddish, Usher, Quincy Jones, Bebe Rexha, Wiz Khalifa, Timbaland, Kelly Rowland and Rita Ora also attended the event.
