FADER cover star Perfume Genius has shared a cover of Bobby Darin's 1960 song "Not For Me." Listen below via Pitchfork. Mike Hadreas's new version is no mere remake, but an epic overhaul: a few threads of sadness from the groovy, Spector-adjacent original are spun into gargantuan and elegiac song that's probably already found its way onto Björk's breakup playlist. The cover is part of a two-song partnership with W Records, and all streaming proceeds will benefit Immigration Equality, an organization supporting LGBTQ asylum applicants. Listen to Perfume Genius's "Not for Me" below, along with the music video, followed by Darin's original.
