It’s opening night. Kind of a big deal for us. Thanks so much."

Kanye was apologetic and responded to Spector. “The dynamics of Cher and Sonny’s relationship made Kim and I grab each other’s hand and sing ‘I got you babe'”, he wrote. “Please pardon my lack of etiquette. We have so much appreciation for the energy you guys put into making this master piece.”

A rep later told TMZ Kanye wasn’t texting, but was instead using his phone to take notes on the performance.

The Cher Show tells the story of Cher's career through three distinct stages in her career. She is portrayed by three actressesduring the production: “Babe,” “Lady,” and “Star.”
